Frequently Asked Questions
When will portfolio management launch?
Portfolio sync is currently in development. Sign up for a free Trovest account to get notified when it launches. In the meantime, you can analyze any stock individually using our 10-metric scoring system.
How does brokerage sync work?
Trovest uses Plaid—the same service used by Venmo, Robinhood, and thousands of financial apps—to securely connect to your brokerage. We only have read-only access to view your holdings. We cannot trade, move funds, or make any changes to your account.
Is my brokerage data secure?
Yes. Plaid handles all authentication with bank-level 256-bit AES encryption. Your brokerage credentials are never stored on Trovest servers. We only receive a read-only list of your holdings.
Can I use Trovest without connecting a brokerage?
Absolutely. Portfolio sync is optional. You can search and analyze any stock, read AI research reports, and use the Compelling Ideas feed without connecting a brokerage account.
